Founded in 2003 by Reverend Henry Brown and Henrietta Beckman. MUAV has been a driving force for positive change in the community response to violence, education, health, housing and economic disparities. With the unconditional support from the community and many families, we are able to help and bring faith to those who need it the most.
Mothers United Against Violence is a non-profit organization that offers services throughout the Greater Hartford area and throughout Connecticut.

We promote justice through community response to violence and provide support to victims of violence.
Individuals we serve are historically part of the underserved community and lack access to an equitable criminal justice system, economic resources, mental health resources, hospital support, and educational tools.
