As a front-line provider and partnering subcontractor with the Victim of Crimes Act (VOCA) for victim advocate services, we provide:
"Hospital Based Violence Intervention (HVIP) is a specific, evidence based, violence intervention methodology that involves partnerships between hospitals and frontline and community agencies."
In other words, designated crisis response program providing support for victims of violence engaging in the hospital both pre- and post-hospital visits.
We are medical professionals, simply an on the scene advocate for an individual that is going through a situation in the hospital.
Our team is HIPAA trained and certified to keep all information confidential. We aim to engage with survivors of violence right after an incident at the hospital. A collaborative implementing a trauma-informed approach to care, identify risk factors, and provide long-term case management for victims of gun violence.
An ongoing peer support group to encourage healing, compassion, and therapeutic support for mothers, fathers, and youth who have experienced trauma and PTSD.
Our group offers our families one-on-one grief and spiritual support services along with direct victim services through VOCA.
