The Community Conversations Series launched on March 14, 2019 The first conversation focused on our Men of the community and their pain and grief which they carry on a day to day basis. This Community Conversation was a huge success and our families along with the Community Safety Coalition was able to embrace our men and provide them with the encouragement and the commitment in helping to make our community healthier and to help reduce trauma.
The youth impact program is designed to provide youth with life skills training, educational and hands on field trips. We provide interactive and motivational Workshops. Kickoff is Saturday February 2nd, 2019 at the Hartford Public Library, located at 500 Main St. Hartford, CT, CT 06103 at 1:00pm. This significant event gives MUAV and families to honor our loved ones lost to gun violence over the many years. We also open our hearts to community members to partake in breaking bread with us to help support the many families and individuals in need.
Our annual March and Rally is Scheduled on April 27th, 2019. This year we will create a new route which will allow us to weave through our own community and demonstrate the support and love that we have for our families living in Hartford. Join us, and become a part of this historical march and rally!
The Annual March and Rally is designed to raise awareness on gun violence prevention social justice issues within our community and to bring the community together.
Our Annual Remembrance Day is significant as we honor our love ones whom have been lost to violence and we celebrate their lives with their families by breaking bread and extending the invitation to the community at large.
Circle of compassion was designed to provide the dedicated support and compassion specifically for the mothers and other family members whom have lost children and others to violence.
Unresolved case forums provide the opportunity for families of victims to work directly with the police department and the community to help bring closure to their loved one's case.
The first Community Conversation focused on our men in the Greater Hartford Community.
The educational outreach programs and activities is designed to help promote and strengthen our youth's development.
This signature event hosted at the Hartford-Hilton was the first major fundraiser which MUAV has held since its inception of 2003. We were pleased and overwhelmed by the support which we received from both the community, partners and our sponsors.
